Happy End was a band of 4 members, Ohtaki Eiichi, Hosono Haruomi, Suzuki Shigeru, Matsumoto Takashi. They were influenced by West coast rock(Buffalo Springfield, Moby Grape).They created their own psychedelic music by singing Japanese. Before them, Japanese rock group sung by English. They are the first rock artist of Japanese rock history.Their lyric is written by Matsumoto Takashi, he expressed "Lost Old Tokyo City".Tokyo had changed by Tokyo Olympic held in 1964. They made 3 albums in only 3 years. These 3 albums are masterpieces of Japanese rock history, have influenced many Japanese artists by today.After Their break-up, these 4 members contributed to development of Japanese Rock or Pops. Later I will introduce their solo albums, Hosono Haruomi is the most well known as Yellow Magic Orchestra which is a techno band in early days. "Kazemachi Roman" is the most popular album of their discography.In Sofia Coppola's movie "Lost in translation ", their number "Kaze wo atsumete" is featured.
